Not a Single Doubt x Talimena two year old we have currently in training “Tali” is regally breed and now has the edition of another Golden Slipper winner to her pedigree; Kiamichi, a half sister to the Dam of our filly “Talimena”
Nothing is easier than punting with hindsight but Godolphin-homebred Kiamichi had Golden Slipper Stakes written all over her going into Saturday’s race.
Kiamichi is from the first crop of Group II winner and Golden Slipper Stakes runner-up Sidestep (Exceed And Excel), who commenced his stud career under the Darley banner, shuttled to Haras du Logis in France for three seasons and now standing for Telemon Thoroughbreds in Queensland.
Exceed And Excel is also the sire of Saturday’s Golden Slipper Stakes runner-up Microphone and sired the 2013 Golden Slipper Stakes winner Overreach.
Kiamichi’s dam Ouachita is by Golden Slipper Stakes winner Canny Lad, also the sire of the third dam of Lyre, and her granddam Peach is by Vain, arguably the greatest Golden Slipper Stakes winner, and sire of the fourth dam of Microphone and the fifth dam of Lyre to appear in the Golden Slipper Stakes trifecta.
Kiamichi’s third dam Market Maid is by Golden Slipper Stakes winner Marscay and a half-sister to the Neville Begg-trained 1980 Golden Slipper Stakes winner Dark Eclipse while her sixth dam Solar Eclipse is a half-sister to Storm Gleam, winner of the Bloodhorse Breeders’ Stakes at Flemington and herself the dam of the 1966 Golden Slipper Stakes winner Storm Queen, one of four winners of the race for Bart Cummings.
Shares are still available and on offer in this beautifully breeding two year old
