It was a proud mid-winter scene at Moruya with our stalwart gelding, MY BLUE JEANS, clinching a remarkable 10th career win in a manner befitting a horse much younger in years.
Although nearing his 10th birthday, MY BLUE JEANS continues to race with unwavering enthusiasm and energy and found himself back in a familiar Winner’s Stall in the 1650m BM58 at his 114th start.
While other DWR horses have perhaps scaled higher heights, none exhibit Danny’s care and commitment to his charges better than the easily recognisable gray, who has trodden the Southern Districts racetracks and beyond for nearly a decade.
With total prize-money earnings that far exceed his initial purchase price, MY BLUE JEANS has given our stable countless unforgettable moments and memories.
His seemingly endless work-ethic and consistent performances have made him a beloved member of our team and well-known ambassador for our Country Stable.
A hearty congratulations to everyone involved in this incredible journey over many years, including jockey Mathew Cahill, who delivered a stellar ride to bring up the milestone.
Here’s to more memorable races with this exceptional gelding.
